So many boats, so many paddles - welcome to the Sudbury Canoe Club Outrigger Canoe Race!
This OC-6 race is open to women's, men's and mixed teams.
Race captains, please register on behalf of your team.
We greatly appreciate registrations in advance in order to have an accurate headcount for lunch and race swag (both of which are included in the race fee).
Registration for paddlers is $200/team and includes a BBQ lunch and race shirt.
On race day, OMCKRA members will receive a $5 discount.
Water that lies on the side of the hill:
Our race course sends you out to paddle some wonderful sections of Bitmagamasing or Ramsey Lake, once the world’s largest lake contained within the boundaries of a single city. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, that title now goes to Lake Wanaptiei, just north of Sudbury.
Our course will take you around several privately owned islands. Then you’ll paddle a stretch of the Sudbury Dragon Boat Festival course along Bell Park’s Main Beach. Each of the 3 loops is 5-km in length.
Registration is per $200 per team of 6 paddlers (only one member needs to register the team).
The Sudbury Canoe Club has a limited supply of boats available to rent. Rental is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
