Racing Intermediate Summer Program is designed for more experienced paddlers. Once an athlete can keep their balance in a racing boat, their training will develop their skills for racing in divisional and provincial competitions. Participants will build on their fundamental skills by learning about propulsion, advanced steering, and proper technique.

Participants will be given the opportunity to compete at 2-3 divisional and provincial regattas.

2024 Practice Dates:

April 29th, 2024 - July 1st, 2024

Club equipment is supplied. On-water coaching and planned workouts take place from 4-6 x 1.5 hr practices per week

Practice Schedule:

Monday 5:30pm-7:00pm

Tuesday 5:30pm-7:00pm

Wednesday 5:30pm-7:00pm

Thursday 5:30pm-7:00pm

Friday 5:30pm-7:00pm

Saturday 10:30am-12:00pm

Age Requirements:

Participants must be aged 12+ as of January 1^st, 2024

Program Requirements:

Must be able to swim 25 m (any stroke) and tread water for at least 1 minute.

All athletes are required to wear a PFD when on the water.

Cost: $ 350 + Racing and insurance fees

Volunteer policy:

Refund policy: For programs that occur weekly, cancellation can occur within the first 2 weeks with a full refund minus the $50 administration fee.  

For program that are 8 weeks or less: Cancellation requests that are done following the first 2 weeks will not be refunded. 

For programs that run greater than 8 weeks: Cancellation request after the first 2 weeks of the start of the program, cancellation will result in prorated monthly refund less $75 administration fee

Please Note: Registration is not complete until paid in full and a signed waiver has been submitted. Payment can be made online upon registration.
